The themes include stewardship-based initiatives such as Tree Care, environmental justice public resources such as the Impact Hours series, and climate communication programs such as the Creative Climate Awards, a competition bringing climate-inspired art to NYC audiences and beyond. HII's framework focuses on using arts and creativity as a tool for strengthening traditional environmental action methods. HII has developed environmental programs on a variety of topics for diverse audiences. Programs include youth environmental leadership intensives, community environmental workshops, local estuary and tree care stewardship opportunities for all ages, and more. These programs strive to integrate creative projects such as film and video, graphic design, tree guard building, and more.
