Compensation Plan
Help Oakland Literacy Coalition learn how to attract and retain talented employees with a compensation plan that is in keeping with marketplace trends and financially feasible.
Compensation Plan
Project details
What we need
- Review of job descriptions, pay structure, internal value, competitive market data, non-monetary rewards and benefits
- Recommendations for updating staff compensation and incentive plans
Additional details
Our small but quickly growing nonprofit that is looking to develop a framework to outline different job levels/classifications within the organization (e.g. coordinator vs manager vs. associate director) and the corresponding increase in responsibilities and salary. We plan to share this framework with current staff and use it to guide future staffing decisions.
What we have in place
- We currently have job descriptions for all current staff, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have Northern CA nonprofit compensation survey data, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $6,746 , allowing us to purchase at least 2,500 additional new books to distribute to Oakland families.
As we grow, we want to ensure that we are strategic, equitable, transparent, and competitive in how we structure and compensate staff positions. This will better position us to attract and retain highly talented individuals and provide clear pathways for growth inside the organization - both in terms of responsibility and compensation.
