Our mission

Empowering children and teens in food deserts with nutrition education and access to produce.

What we do

In order to fulfill this mission, Betty Jean Brown Foundation uses its flagship produce program which provides produce and nutrition education to children every two weeks. Our target audience resides in areas considered food deserts where such produce is cost-prohibitive or unavailable. Betty Jean Brown Foundation partners with local schools, nonprofit organizations, and afterschool programs in such areas to deliver fruits and vegetables as well as educational resources.

Testimonials

Alan turned around this critical project for us so quickly while being thoughtful, passionate, committed while asking questions to help guide my thinking. As a new ED, his expertise was invaluable and a huge help to me. Thank you Alan!
