Project details

What we need
  • Training goals for a specific population (volunteers, staff, program participants, etc.)
  • Advice on what training methods the Organization should pursue to meet its goals (webinars, lectures, print materials, etc.)
  • Suggestions for curriculum design, creative messaging, call to actions, methods and timeline
  • Budget for implementation (taking the Organization’s resource constraints into consideration)
  • A written document that summarizes objectives, strategies and actions steps
Additional details

-The community and volunteer engagement team at NVFS is seeking a volunteer to assist with creating a new volunteer orientation that is engaging and interactive.
-The team would like advice and assistance in creating and incorporating a pre-recorded video with a live Zoom presentation, or other suggestions on how to make the orientation efficient.
-As a non-profit, we are looking for a final product that is sustainable and that can updated as needed with limited resources.

What we have in place
  • We currently have staff capacity - a 4 person team ready to collaborate, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have content created, a prior orientation from which to start, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,500 , allowing us to reinvest resources in the volunteer program to improve volunteer experience and impact, celebrate volunteer contributions, offer more learning opportunities, and retain volunteers.

Volunteers are an integral part of our service provision at NVFS as volunteers lend the skills and enthusiasm that builds organizational capacity. By updating the volunteer orientation to make it more engaging, we hope to start with a solid foundation that will translate to increased volunteer retention.
