Board Prospecting
Board Prospecting
Project details
What we need
- Assessment of current donors, volunteers, beneficiaries and other constituents to pinpoint people who are interested in serving your Organization
- Informal staff and board interviews to survey potential connections and/or leads
- A document of up to ten pages that lists potential board members based upon your Organization's data and current audiences
- Note: The Professional will not be communicating with prospective board members.
Additional details
Twin Cities Prison Ministry is a rather small organization which has been operating as a 501c3 for three years. It has been a challenge for us to find new Board and Committee members with an interest in prison ministry. These are all volunteer and nonpaying positions. In addition to Board Member responsibilities and bimonthly Board meetings, members are relied upon to assist in project development.
What we have in place
- We currently have an organizational structure in place, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a new data base listing participants of past activities, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $5,198 , allowing us to devote that money toward our ministries for those affected by incarceration and to share with others how they can get involved in various volunteer activities.
Our organization has been in operation for 3 years. I expect that several of our Board Members will be moving on in a year or two. We also have several initiatives that Board Members are involved in and I'm concerned with burnout. We'd also like to recruit new people for both Board and Committee members for fresh ideas and new skill sets.
