Additional details
We are in the final stages of producing a resource to help parents and carers of teenagers with eating disorders. We are based in Australia but are committed to sharing medical knowledge between Australia and Israel. We would love some help in translating our ebook to Hebrew and to Arabic. In this way, Jerusalem's hospital with a heart can help prevent and treat eating disorders in a culturally sensitive and relevant manner.
What we have in place
- We currently have an ebook that is aiming to be complete in 2 weeks, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have committed professionals who want this to happen, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $7,098 , allowing us to become an important voice in drawing on latest research in addressing eating disorders and creating innovative and powerful responses.
In the wake of the pandemic there has been a sharp increase in the incidence and severity of eating disorders in teenagers worldwide. Shaare Zedek Medical Center has no current materials to give families who are struggling with this challenge. We want to help alleviate suffering and empower families.
