What we need
  • Review of up to 20 pages of copy for grammar, style, tone, and consistency
  • Advice on how to write effective copy going forward
Additional details

We are at the final stages of creating an ebook. We want to empower parents and carers of teenagers with eating disorders by providing the information and language to help. Our eBook is almost complete, but needs to be reviewed to ensure that it is clear and is not repetitive. We'd also love some advice re structuring the content. A background in public health/education/medicine would be an advantage but is not essential. Thanks!

What we have in place
  • We currently have a word document which is around 30 pages long, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have dedicated professionals who are committed to success, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $1,792 , allowing us to make sure that the urgent issue of teen eating disorders is a priority in a post covid world.

Our end goal is to have this ebook translated into Hebrew and Arabic so that Shaare Zedek Medical Center can offer it to parents of patients who are struggling with this challenge. Your help will enable us to complete this project, alleviate stress and save lives.

Milestone 1: Copyediting
  • Professional reviews the copy and creates appropriate changes to formatting, grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, etc.
  • Professional checks for inconsistency and and continuity errors
  • Professional creates a list of recommended changes to share with Volunteer Manager (if applicable)

Milestone 2: Review Edits
  • Professional shares with Volunteer Manager a revised draft and a document tracking the changes
  • Professional and Volunteer Manager connect to discuss the changes made to the copy (up to two rounds of edits)
  • Professional makes agreed upon changes to the document and reviews final draft

Milestone 3: Final Deliverables
  • Professional delivers final version to Volunteer Manager
