Project details

What we need
  • A compilation of research on a specific topic (e.g. industry best practices, literature review, media contacts, industry trends, etc.) including a list of sources
  • Recommendations on areas for further exploration/research
  • Note: This project is not designed to be used for prospect or grant research
Additional details

We are looking to build up our online learning library of sorts for adoptive/foster parents and kinship caregivers. Volunteers would help research online trainings and resources in a variety of topics. The deliverable does not necessarily need to be a written document; it can simply be a list of the online resources, and if time allows, helping us put those resources into the Learning Management System we use.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a good sense of where to find the desired content, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have an easy-to-use LMS, an dedicated agency trainer, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,409 , allowing us to focus on problem solving other challenges like short-staffedness, re-designing program structures, training staff in evidence-based models, running parent groups, and much more.

We have traditionally used in-person gatherings to provide our foster/adoptive parents and kinship caregivers with ongoing training and support. This is both best practice and also required by licensure. During the pandemic, it has been hard to offer this. Our families need ongoing training in certain topics to meet licensure standards. While we have an excellent LMS to organize the trainings, we have not had staff to manage finding resources.
