What we need
  • Document outlining Organization’s or a specific program’s strengths and weaknesses as well as potential opportunities and threats
Additional details

Looking for a consultant with strong grassroots, non-profit management insight, preferably with passion in area of human services, behavioral health, social justice advocacy or related field. It has been 10+ years since we've developed a Strat Plan and many conditions have since changed. The SWOT analysis will be a crucial step in the process of developing an effective Strat Plan.

What we have in place
  • We currently have actively engaged Board, financial data, program descriptions, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have long history serving the community, staff of 1 Exec Director, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,788 , allowing us to train facilitators & support leaders

Turn over of EDs in recent years. We see opportunity to increase community impact via NAMI support, education & advocacy offerings, to grow our membership, to engage more volunteers (NAMI course facilitators, support leaders, advocates, office support), increase financial support to ensure sustainability, and improve ability to measure and communicate impact.

  • Volunteer Manager provides Professional with information regarding current operations (financial, programmatic, physical and human resources), Organization-wide or program goals and mission, and market analysis
  • Professional facilitates meeting with Organization’s leadership to discuss goals for the SWOT analysis
  • Professional and Volunteer Manager outline next steps and timeline for the project (including individual meetings between Professional and members of Organization such as functional heads, board members, etc.)

  • Professional analyzes the information shared by the Organization
  • Professional researches any additional information about external competitive landscape based on the market analysis
  • Professional conducts interviews with different Organization stakeholders for their perspectives on strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities and threats

Our mission

NAMI Southeastern AZ provides advocacy, education, support and public awareness so that all individuals and families affected by mental illness can build better lives.

What we do

We are based in Sierra Vista AZ, and serve multiple communities throughout southeastern Arizona. We operate a resource center and mental health library with the assistance of many dedicated volunteers. We offer evidence-based mutual support and mental health education programs free of charge. Our advocacy and outreach activities are aimed at increasing mental health awareness and eliminating stigma.
