Compensation Plan
Compensation Plan
Project details
What we need
- Review of job descriptions, pay structure, internal value, competitive market data, non-monetary rewards and benefits
- Recommendations for updating staff compensation and incentive plans
Additional details
We need to be able to retain our employees longer than the current average of 3 years and reduce our turnover by at least 12%.
What we have in place
- We currently have Compensation Strategies Plan and a Perf. Based Merit system, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a Compensation Structure/Pay Scale, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $6,746 , allowing us to reinvest those funds in strategies that come out of the compensation plan recommendations.
Our goal is to obtain and retain quality talent to help our students be successful, stay in school and to do this we must provide more consistency in our staffing at our campuses. We strive to keep employees 5 or more years and need new strategies that speak to the current labor market and/or guidance on whether we are on the right track with our current strategies.

Our mission
The mission of Communities In Schools of San Antonio (CIS-SA) is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.
What we do
CIS-SA was founded in 1985 to address the worsening dropout crisis in Bexar County. With steadily increasing support from the Texas Legislature, local school districts, and community stakeholders, our program has since expanded from 5 to 162 elementary, middle, and high schools spanning Bexar and surrounding counties. In the 2021-2022 school year, CIS-SA is the primary facilitator of school-based dropout prevention and intervention services in 12 school districts, with a total of over 10,000 students receiving intensive case management support. Our agency has extensive experience in the facilitation of Integrated Student Services (ISS), a cost-effective approach to dropout prevention that has been found to improve educational outcomes and promote positive youth development. Integrated Student Supports are defined by Child Trends as "a school-based approach to promoting students' academic success by coordinating a seamless system of wraparound supports for the child, the family, and schools, to target students' academic and non-academic barriers to learning" (Moore K.A., 2014).
