What we need
  • Personalized feedback and up to 5 coaching sessions with one member of the Organization
  • Document outlining strengths, weaknesses, and suggested next steps and/or resources for the member
Additional details

I regularly present to, facilitate or participate in dozens of zoom calls each month with between one and 50 other people. Usually I'm presenting about our policy goals and plans. I want to improve my presentation skills to stop reading slide notes and my facilitation skills, especially when an agenda doesn't go as planned.

This coming winter and spring I will also organize and participate in 10-20 meetings with state legislators to advocate for sustainable agriculture.

What we have in place
  • We currently have past presentations I can share, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a website, policy memos, an organizing plan, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $8,660 , allowing us to plan and host more events including listening sessions to help us better understand the challenges farmers face on the ground; organize more farm tours with policy makers to inspire/ educate them

Inspiring people about our mission and bringing them into our work is a big part of my job. I hope this project will help me be a more effective and compelling communicator with policy makers, farmers, community members and my fellow advocates.

  • Professional and Volunteer Manager decide on specific areas to focus on and goals for coaching sessions

  • Professional reviews presentation materials and information (if applicable)
  • Professional drafts coaching plan
  • Professional and Volunteer Manager discuss presentation goals
  • Professional and Volunteer Manager discuss coaching plan and agree on/set dates for coaching sessions, as well as any preparatory work required

  • Professional and Volunteer Manager connect up to 5 times to practice and tailor presentation for specific audience(s)
