What we need
  • 6-8 coaching sessions with a staff member
  • Actionable steps and advice to address an ongoing managerial issue
  • Assessment of the effectiveness of the Organization's leadership team

We are working with a new team member in a start up- hybrid partnership which offers construction training services to under-exposed youth and adults. Many have not been successful or lack the coaching, direction and guidance to become successful. Since we are start up, we would like coaching for the new team member in:
becoming a better listener and understanding the students
being flexible and consistent with students
an area of development that the new staff member deems valuable

What we have in place
  • We currently have a key staff member with regular availability, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have an amazing team, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,198 , allowing us to allocated resources to the continued work of our start up organization, pay for infrastructure, marketing and recruitment needs for the organization.

We have a small team and it is necessary for continued coaching and development for the work we are building. There is a deficit in services in our market and we can have a tremendous impact on the students we serve.

  • Professional and Volunteer Manager discuss perceived areas of strength and area of improvement, leadership style, and assessment of team motivation and morale
  • Professional and Volunteer Manager decide on specific areas to focus on and goals for coaching sessions
  • Professional communicates if feedback from other members of the Organization will be necessary

Milestone 2: Coaching Sessions
  • In-depth discussions may include issues such as strategy and goal-setting, program management, personnel management, and board management
  • Various techniques may be employed by the Leadership Coach to achieve the desired results

Milestone 3: Wrap-up and Learnings
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional evaluate lessons learned and progress made
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional discuss areas and actionable items to focus on going forward

The mission of WYB is to enhance the value, viability & perception of STEM trades by use of project-based learning to empower under-served youth to learn practical skills, improve math comprehension and build career pathways. We do this by offering hands-on workshops/small group math-focused instruction during out of school time. This furthers the goal that youth are able to improve math skills, understand construction in their lives; connect to entrepreneurship; hobbies; continued education and careers
