What we need
- Expert third party advice on process or managerial changes, geographic or programmatic expansion, potential pivots, or general strategic planning
- Facilitation of an intensive, one-day strategic planning session with staff and/or Board
- Note: If necessary, a follow-up strategic planning session may be scheduled
Additional details
South Pacific Islander Organization will be having a board retreat December 11-12. We are looking for a facilitator to lead us through a half-day planning session and guide us through our 2022 organizational goals on Sunday, Dec. 12.
What we have in place
- We currently have Our 2021 Strategic Plan, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have Time prior to the retreat to dedicate towards preparing, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,772 , allowing us to allowing us to focus our funding on 100% volunteer-led programs.
SPIO is a 100% volunteer-led organization looking to provide free and accessible educational and career resources for the Pacific Islander community. Strategic planning will help guide our efforts while also taking into consideration our volunteer capacity.

Our mission
To support and promote Pacific Islander voices, cultures, and communities through leadership development, cultural revitalization, and community partnerships.
Our current focus is to build Pacific Islander presence in higher education and professional fields.
What we do
Mentorship Program: Free 1:1 college application mentorship to increase number of Pacific Islanders applying to institutions of higher education.
Scholarships: 3 $5,000 scholarships to reduce financial burden of Pacific Islander scholars.
Spotlight Program: Article spotlight series highlighting inspiring Pacific Islanders across academic and professional fields to increase authentic representation of Pacific Islanders in the media.
Online Educational Directory: An online directory of educational resources available to Pacific Islanders scholars based on their island nation/country of residence to consolidate data and increase visibility and access to educational resources.
Higher Education Network: A free online platform for Pacific Islander scholars and professionals to meet, collaborate, and share resources across campuses around the world.
