Additional details
Hello! Girl Up's leadership development programs have impacted 95,000 girls through 5,000 Clubs in nearly 130 countries and all 50 U.S. states. We're inspiring a generation of girls to be a force for gender equality and social change. As a global organization, we are looking for support with translation (SPANISH to FRENCH) and timestamping of one short video discussing the gender gap in STEM. Girl Up will provide all needed materials and instructions. Thank you for your consideration!
What we have in place
- We currently have the recorded videos & translation/timestamp instructions, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have dedicated Staff ready to meet to answer questions, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $7,098 , allowing us to use remaining funding to provide live closed captioning and translations for real-time events!
As a global organization, Girl Up strives to make our resources as accessible as possible. As a non-profit, it is extremely helpful for us to utilize helpful and dedicated volunteers to assist with translations of resources so girls across the world can use the resources to change the world.
Project plan
Our mission
Girl Up is a girl-centered leadership development initiative, focusing on equity for girls and women in spaces where they are unheard or underrepresented. We believe when girls and women are in positions of influence, they work to create a more just and equitable world for everyone.
Girl Up operates a global network of regional affiliates reaching 150,000 girls in 130 countries. We deliver evidence-based leadership development training through our girl-led Clubs, programs, and events. As members of a global movement, girls are a force for social good -- connected to a Community of their peers who are advocating for policy change and advancing gender justice.
Founded in 2010 and hosted by the United Nations Foundation, Girl Up welcomes girls and youth of all gender identities to start a Club and join our movement to advance gender justice worldwide. Together, we are expanding girls' skills, rights, and opportunities to lead, and changing the face of leadership for generations to come.
