Project details

What we need
  • A professionally designed online survey ready to use (set up with Google Forms, SurveyMonkey, Typeform, SurveyLegend, or other tool)
  • Training to equip staff to execute and manage survey
Additional details

We are looking for a constituent survey to send to our groups (audience, staff, Board, artists) in conjunction with our strategic planning process. The survey would ideally gather data about UrbanArias' reach, impact, audience experience, and overall reputation.

What we have in place
  • Our Executive Director will share our current strategic planning documents and information about our constituencies.

We would prefer to use Google Forms.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,828 , allowing us to focus funds on programming and producing new operatic works from a diverse group of composers and poets.

In order to align our strategic plan with the populations we serve, we need to have a better understanding of how they view our company, our mission, and our programming. A constituent survey is the best way to achieve this.

Our mission

UrbanArias is dedicated to producing short, contemporary operas - works that are about 90 minutes in length or shorter and written within the last 25 years. UrbanArias aims to expose DC-area audiences to engaging, accessible, and entertaining operas; to provide a professional venue at which both established and emerging composers can present their shorter works; to regularly commission new, short operas; and to bring new audiences to the art form through relevant, current material.
