Project details

What we need
  • Significant update to Organization’s existing CMS website, such as adding a new page, customizing a theme, adjusting layout, etc.
  • Smaller update to Organization's non-CMS website
Additional details

Our organization is looking to have its new wireframes implemented into our existing website.

What we have in place
  • We currently have website, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have new wireframes, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,586 , allowing us to create and develop more "Comfort Backpacks" for children diagnosed with cancer.

This project will greatly enhance our website by creating a more engaging and organized appearance to our audiences.

Prep: Share Scope of Changes
  • Volunteer Manager shares link to existing website with Professional
  • Volunteer Manager provides list of required updates to make (including sharing content or image assets, as necessary)
  • Both parties review our pro-tips for Organizations and Volunteers to ensure the project is set up for success

Milestone 1: Kick-Off Meeting
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional connect to discuss requested updates, and agree on a project timeline
  • Volunteer Manager provides Professional with credentials to access the website admin portal

Milestone 2: Review Updates
  • Professional makes the requested updates to the website (if available, the changes should be made in a test or development environment first)
  • Volunteer Manager reviews each update, and reports any remaining issues to the Professional

Milestone 3: Implementation of Updates
  • Professional implements updates to the live website
  • Professional troubleshoots any issues that may arise immediately after implementing changes on the live site

Our mission

Berni & Murcer-Friends for Life provides emotional support, day-to-day comfort, encouragement and inspiration to children diagnosed with cancer (and their families) through the use of therapeutic "Comfort Backpacks", stories, and on-line services, which allows the child to be transformed away from the trauma of the diagnosis & treatment and to a state of mind of strength, hope, and courage. With thoughtful comfort and creativity, children are enabled to maintain their identity and give themselves every chance of a healthy outcome.
