Project details

What we need
  • A concise, well-articulated letter (not exceeding two pages) to request funds from individual donors
What we have in place
  • We currently have an Annual Appeal letter from 2020, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have additional Fall and Spring Appeal letters to provide, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,140 , allowing us to improve health equity by increasing staff capacity and time that can instead be dedicated to providing preventative vision health services and helping Wisconsinites access vision care.

Individual giving is an area where our organization hopes to grow as we are heavily grant funded. This project will help PBW feel more confident going into our Annual Appeal by critiquing and revising our previous 2020 Annual Appeal and giving us feedback on what to include which will help increase our donor base and increase our individual giving for our organization.

Our mission

Founded in 1958, Prevent Blindness Wisconsin improves the lives of children, adults and families through early detection of eye conditions to prevent blindness and preserve sight. On-going vision screening activities and state-wide public health education lead to a lifetime of healthy vision.

Testimonials

Ajay was very helpful when helping our organization revise and improve our Individual Donor Letter. Ajay was especially mindful about deadlines and the timeline in which we hoped to complete this project by. I enjoyed working with him and am very pleased with the final letter!

Individual Donor Letter Project

Natalie was extremely helpful in dealing with requests for information and was very supportive. Prevent Blindness Wisconsin is a great nonprofit that performs out of proportion to its size - last year, they screened more than 420,000 people in all parts of Wisconsin (for scale, that's equivalent to 70% of the population of Milwaukee), helping to detect and correct vision problems in both young and old. Please help them out if you can!
