What we need
- 1-2 page summary of takeaways and trends from interviewing key individuals (no more than 8 interviews total)
- Identification of the board’s strengths and recommendations for areas of improvement for board members collectively and individually
Additional details
We have 10 board members and we do a semi-annual board self-assessment. We are looking for a new/fresh approach or tool for this exercise.
What we have in place
- We currently have past assessment tools, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a board handbook, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $7,248 , allowing us to allocate more funding for grant awards.

Our mission
As grantmaker, partner, and advocate, the Tower Foundation strengthens organizations and works to change systems to improve the lives of young people with learning disabilities, mental illness, substance use disorders, and intellectual disabilities.
What we do
The Tower Foundation is a family foundation that supports and collaborates with nonprofit organizations and community partners that share our mission of helping children, adolescents, and young people affected by intellectual disabilities, learning disabilities, mental health issues, and substance use disorders. Our work is focused in Western New York and Eastern Massachusetts, areas that are important to the Tower family.
