Storytelling
Project details
What we need
- A compelling narrative, or set of stories
- Persuasive copy that can be used in appeals to donors, annual reports, grant applications, and media relations
- Popular examples: Organization's founding story, a program achievement or milestone, a look back at the past few years, organizational backgrounder, etc.
- Note: This project is not intended to support your general content planning or marketing but there are several projects in our Marketing & Communications category which are a good fit!
Additional details
It's always helpful to understand what you don't know. We've been in this early childhood space for awhile; getting an outsider's perspective on how we should be messaging to people outside and inside our circles would be helpful.
We are looking specifically for a Spanish-speaking volunteer for this project.
What we have in place
- We currently have the staff, volunteers, and constituents ready, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have data on our services, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,397 , allowing us to use that money in direct support of the at-risk children and parents we serve.
Storytelling is so important to fundraising. We need to make sure our messages resonate with people; and hopefully compel them to give

Testimonials
Dr. Burstein was amazing to work with - very prompt, passionate, and skilled at what she does. She takes time to learn about your cause and becomes an advocate for it. Highly recommended!
This was a fascinating project and I appreciated the opportunity to shape the project and outputs. The Center is doing extraordinary work and I'm delighted that I had the opportunity to share the stories of students in the NSF-funded Research Experiences for Undergraduates program at the UTD Center for Children and Families.
