What we need
  • A professionally designed report, up to 10 pages, in high-resolution format (jpeg, pdf, etc.)
  • Accurate, print-ready specifications

Just a note that this would be an online-only interactive report, in past we've used InDesign and saved out an interactive PDF

What we have in place
  • We have past online interactive reports to guide the look & feel: https://www.northstarreach.org/about-us/annual-report/

    The 2020 report will be fewer pages than past, if possible 16-20

    This is an online-only report, so no need for print specifications

    We're happy w/ our visual look and feel but see challenges for a talented designer to accommodate more Zoom/online photography or use infographics/illustrations as we do not have extensive photos for the 2020 report since camp was not in-person
How this will help
This project will save us $4,817 , allowing us to offer more virtual programming for kids w/ chronic illnesses, such as organ transplant recipients, who are immuno-compromised and remain isolated due to the pandemic

Our 2020 annual report is critical for sharing with our donors the positive impact their generosity has made for hundreds of children with serious health challenges and their families who benefit from our free programs

Prep: Distribution of Prep Materials
  • Volunteer Manager provides Professional with high-resolution logo and visual branding guidelines, finalized copy, and any additional content to be included in annual impact report
  • Volunteer Manager shares examples of previous annual reports with Professional (if any)

Milestone 1: Brainstorming
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional connect to discuss the story the Organization wants to tell and brainstorm how key data can be highlighted and visualized
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional agree upon a timeline

Milestone 2: Preliminary Impact Report Design & Feedback
  • Professional creates a preliminary design and shares with Volunteer Manager
  • Volunteer Manager reviews and provides feedback
  • Repeat feedback process (if necessary)

Milestone 3: Final Impact Report
  • Professional delivers final version of annual impact report in PDF format, with print-ready specifications

Our mission

Located on 105 beautiful wooded acres in Pinckney, Michigan, and bordered by two lakes, North Star Reach is a no-cost, medically-sound camp where thousands of children who would otherwise be too sick to go to camp can enjoy the experience of a lifetime. Our state-of-the-art health center, The Observatory, includes a fully supplied dispensary and is staffed 24/7 by medical professionals from leading hospitals and medical centers throughout Michigan and Chicago. We are a member of SeriousFun Children's Network, founded by Paul Newman, one of the world's largest family of camps and programs for children with serious illnesses.
