What we need
  • Update to or creation of one new HR policy or procedure, such as any of the following: Standards of Conduct, Work Schedules, Leave Policies, Termination Policies, Safety & Security, Anti-Discrimination policies, Compensation & Benefits policies, Work From Home Policies, etc.

LatinxEd is in need of a leave policy, I don't have a deadline.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a policy handbook with little information about leave, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have resources we can use for ideas from other nonprofits, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $1,480 , allowing us to SAVE! and keep using these resources to create, expand and improve our organization!

This project is important because we need to establish policies for our employees that are transparent and put in practice by the book. This project will help us be a functional organization.

Prep: Discussion of Policy Needs
  • Professional reviews any existing policy materials and gathers clarifying information
  • Volunteer Manager explains what they're looking for in this policy
  • Professional determines if changes need to be made to existing policy(s)
  • Professional determines if the Volunteer Manager needs to collect additional information from employees (i.e., survey results)

Milestone 1: Draft of Policy
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional review a draft of the policy, and determine next steps (i.e., buy-in/approval from additional parties)

Milestone 2: Wrap-up & Learnings
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional confirm final policy
  • Professional makes recommendations for how to distribute or communicate new policy to employees
