Project details
What we need
- Recommendations on active and passive recruiting and proper channels to pursue candidates
- Guidelines for hiring process, including order and number of interview rounds, reference checks, and general best practices for an inclusive interview
- Effective interviewing techniques and clear, consistent standards for evaluating candidates
- Tips for negotiating details such as compensation package and title
What we have in place
- We currently have HR Director and Community Relations staff, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a marketing and outreach budget, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,806 , allowing us to invest in program quality improvement and staff development.
Difficult to hire staff to work with behavioral health clients/residents, especially in 24/7 residential programs. And, we are committed to serving children and families with treatment needs.

Our mission
Helix Human Services provides trauma-informed therapeutic and educational services to diverse children and families, building the foundation for lifelong success at home, school, and in the community.
What we do
Since the Civil War, Helix Human Services (formerly the Children's Study Home) has been dedicated to a single purpose: finding ways to help people who have experienced trauma in their lives. That has not, nor will it ever, change. We are best known for the services we provide to children and youth who are referred to us by state agencies. Over the years, we have expanded our programs and services to include adults and families.
At Helix Human Services, we do everything in our power to help traumatized children, families, and adults find their resilience and strength. We will always be here when people in crises need us. We know we must provide a continuum of care--one that is built on a foundation of trust and driven by purpose--and always striving to do and be better.
