Individual Donor Letter
Individual Donor Letter
Project details
What we need
- A concise, well-articulated letter (not exceeding two pages) to request funds from individual donors
Additional details
This letter will be the cornerstone of our year-end annual appeal. As we did last year, we'll be soliciting contributions to support the underwriting of school fees for a girls' school in Tanzania. The appeal letter is sent in early December and is proceeded by a Thanksgiving card of 'thanks'.
What we have in place
- We currently have samples from our last 6 year end appeals, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have quotes from students, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,140 , allowing us to underwrite two additional girls' tuitions!
In our partnership with the Kitenga Girls Secondary School in Tanzania, our primary commitment is to help ensure that the most marginalized girls from low income households can attend the school; therefore the funds raised from this appeal help make sure we meet this vital commitment.
Project plan
Our mission
We equip marginalized girls to transcend their circumstances, realize their fullest potential and become catalysts for change, through the transformative power of education. We do this via allyships with locally-driven initiatives in underserved rural areas of developing countries.
What we do
Girls Education Collaborative (GEC) brings social change through the transformational power of girls education and our fight for global gender equality. We link arms with local change agents in rural, under-served geographical regions with high rates of gender inequality and economic poverty. We help girls transform their own lives through education.
We do this by establishing pivotal partnerships with advocates within a community to catalyze and support their local initiatives centered on educating girls. Our support is responsive, flexible, and multi-faceted, and can include financial and technical assistance, thought partnership, and project management.
