Prep: Information Gathering
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional discuss specific topic(s) of interest, research objectives and information needs, as well as preferred sources/databases (if any)
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional create research questions and agree on key terms
Milestone 1: Preliminary Research Outline
  • Professional conducts preliminary online research and creates an outline
  • Professional shares outline with Volunteer Manager for feedback
Milestone 2: Research & Analysis
  • Professional conducts online research and analyzes information
  • Professional drafts a research report and creates a list of sources
  • Volunteer Manager provides feedback, which Professional incorporates
  • Professional conducts an additional round of research (if necessary)

Empower Girls to Succeed!

Our Mission

eGirl Power is an IRS-approved 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with a mission to educate and support young girls through leadership skills development and career exploration with a focus on STEM and cybersecurity.

Our goals are to empower girls to improve their confidence, self-esteem, and achieve their full potential.

The key objective is to help girls identify and build upon their personal skills and talents, and prepare for college and career readiness through educational workshops, mentorship and more.

eGirl Power is created and led by a team of educators with collectively over 100 years of classroom experience.

What We Do

The eGirl Power program is designed to provide opportunities for participants to identify and build upon their personal skills and talents to strengthen their self-confidence. We do so through educational workshops, youth summits, mentorship and more, as well as "Career Day" field trips for the eGirl Power Club and leadership skill-building activities for the eGirl Power Junior Council.


Katherine was absolutely AMAZING to work with! Her research and writing skills are top notch! Her communication is EXCELLENT and something very important to note is that she sincerely cared about our focus to on eGirl Power's mission to empower young girls and support education! On a personal note, I had the PLEASURE of being in communication with Katherine and she has such a BIG HEART! In addition, Katherine was able to personally relate to eGirl Power's APPI Initiative which really was AWESOME! Thank you Katherine, you are the BEST :) We hope to work with you on a future project!!

Online Research Project

eGirl Power was... an absolute pleasure to work with. Amy and Alex were incredibly engaging people and Karen has been with me every step of the way. If I could give Karen above a 10, I would. She is as personable, warm, and responsive as one could be, more so than I've ever seen before in a project manager. I would work with her and them again if given the opportunity.
