Project details

What we need
  • Review of job descriptions, pay structure, internal value, competitive market data, non-monetary rewards and benefits
  • Recommendations for updating staff compensation and incentive plans
Additional details

Apply a racial equity lens to reviewing and updating the compensation philosophy, structure and plan.

Recommendations for communicating the compensation plan with current staff and being transparent when hiring new employees.

What we have in place
  • We currently have compensation structure and philosophy created in 2014, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have job descriptions, organization chart and current benefits, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $10,626 , allowing us to make additional advocacy trips to the state capital to fight for positive maternal health policies.

When we changed our mission in 2018 to center racial equity, we committed to align our operations with our mission. We won't be successful eliminating racial disparities in infant and maternal mortality if we don't recruit and retain the most talented and diverse staff. A racial equity audit illuminated the need for an updated, equitable and transparent compensation strategy that demonstrates the value we have for our team members. 95% of our revenue is from restricted grants for programs.
