What we have in place
  • We currently have Constant Contact and existing templates, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have Impact stats, survivor blogs, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,002 , allowing us to direct those fund to emergency financial assistance for families impacted by homicide.

This will greatly help us with donor retention as we head into a busy fall fundraising season.

Victim Advocate & Communications Manager

Our mission

Homicide Survivors, Inc. is on a mission to help meet the crisis and long term needs of families of murder victims through support, advocacy, and assistance.

What we do

In the last year, our organization has supported families of homicide victims by:

Advocating on behalf of their victims' rights on over 90 criminal cases, prosecuted at the county and federal level;

Providing emotional support and direct services to over 2,000 individual survivors through traditional support groups and hosting annual memorial events such as the National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims and National Crime Victims Rights Week Candlelight Vigil;

Offering alternative therapies, such as Trauma informed Yoga and Equine Therapy to promote healing;

And providing over $17,000 in direct emergency financial assistance for expenses such as rent and utilities, travel related expenses and lodging for families to attend court, as well as cemetery plot donations.
