What we need
  • A 4-week content calendar for one social media platform, including graphics & copy (12-20 posts, or as agreed upon by both parties)
  • A content calendar template that can be used to plan out posts in the future
Additional details

We are looking to create content and messaging the represents the work we do and solicit engagement from our followers.

What we have in place
  • We currently have Photos & messaging, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have Previous content, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,212 , allowing us to Provide a microgrant to another non-profit during a global pandemic.

This project will allow us to engage our followers and turn them into donors thus creating more funds for microgrants for small businesses and non-profits.

Prep: Audit & Planning
  • Volunteer Manager shares social media credentials and existing marketing materials with Professional
  • (If applicable) Professional audits existing social media account to determine which content types are performing best
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional discuss & agree upon target audiences, content types, and posting frequency

Milestone 1: Calendar Structure Creation
  • Professional uses Google Sheets, Excel, Airtable, or comparable software to set up content calendar structure
  • Volunteer Manager reviews and provides feedback, which Professional incorporates

Milestone 2: Content Creation
  • Volunteer Manager shares raw materials (photos, quotes, stories, etc) that Professional needs to create content
  • Professional creates up to 4 weeks’ worth of social media posts (approximately 12-20 posts) and inputs into calendar
  • Volunteer Manager reviews and provides feedback, which Professional incorporates

(Optional) Milestone 3: Content Scheduling / Software Setup
  • Professional connects Organization’s social media account to a scheduling software like Buffer or Hootsuite
  • Professional sets up and schedules up to 4 weeks of posts in scheduling software

Fully aware that Detroiters of African descent have never lacked creativity, viable economic strategies, entrepreneurial zeal, or innovative business models, the Black Leaders Detroit Fund aims to diminish the aforementioned disparities by providing the one thing that has been lacking, financial support.

We are asking 1 million people to partner with us for $1/week to affect change. Collectively, this low-risk commitment will change lives and impact black residents and communities in Detroit.
