- Note: If you are looking for a more specific, in-depth audit of your website's design and usability, try our Website Usability Audit project
Additional details
We need HELP trying to figure out why our website, www.wwfry.org does not display properly on certain iOS/Mobile devices. It does not appear to be browser dependent, but rather some sort of HTTP/HTTPS interaction.
The main web page is built in WordPress. It is hosted by Total Choice Hosting solutions.
The goal would be to fix the existing www.wwfry.org web page so that it once again displays correctly on iOS. Thank you!
What we have in place
- We currently have backend access to the server and WP pages, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have skilled technical volunteers, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,762 , allowing us to effectively reach more potential visitors and educate them on the story of Maine's remarkable network of narrow gauge railroads.
Our web page is vital for our organization to sell tickets on our historic steam train. Currently, visitors who use iOS devices may have difficulty obtaining information about our museum/events, and can not purchase tickets.
Project plan
Our mission
The Wiscasset, Waterville & Farmington Railway Museum, Inc., is a non-profit organization established in 1989 to acquire, preserve, and restore the operation of narrow gauge railroads and equipment which operated in the Sheepscot Valley and on other roads and to establish a Museum for the display of artifacts for enlightenment and education of the general public concerning the social and economic impact of railroads on the communities served.
What we do
The WW&F Railway Museum celebrates Maine's Sheepscot Valley narrow gauge. The remnants, stories, and memories from the railway of big dreams and little wheels inspire today's volunteers to recreate and share them by restoring, preserving, and operating an authentic heritage railroad. Opportunities are offered to those of any age and ability for learning new skills; discovering what was required to operate a railroad a century ago.
Passengers on the WW&F gain insight into the social and economic impact of railroads upon the community through the experience of a steam train ride and exploration of a recreated railyard. All Aboard the Narrow Gauge for a trip through authentic Maine!
