Project details

What we need
  • Specific copy from one document (up to 1000 words) translated from one language to one other of the Organization's choice
  • Note: If you need more than 1000 words translated or copy translated into more than one language, please post additional versions of this project
Additional details

We will need short survey responses to be translated from Korean to English. The survey respondents are Los Angeles-based family caregivers and the responses will relate to respondents' experiences with childcare, paid family and medical leave, and long-term supports and services.

We do not know how many surveys we will need translated as the study is still ongoing; we estimate, however, that no more than 10 surveys will be in Korean.

What we have in place
  • To contextualize the responses on the survey, we can provide responses to the same questions in English. We also have dedicated program staff who can provide you with additional context.
How this will help
This project will save us $7,098 , allowing us to devote more funds to the quantitative research components of the study.

Your work will benefit our UFC research pilot, which seeks to evaluate the feasibility of a universal set of childcare, long-term services and support, and paid family and medical leave benefits. We are rolling out the pilot in three cities (San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Sacramento); this survey will provide invaluable qualitative information on the current care landscape in Los Angeles.

Our mission

Caring Across Generations ("Caring Across") is a cross-sectoral campaign of family caregivers, care workers, people with disabilities and older Americans coming together to create a nation where everyone can live, work and age with dignity. We are dedicated to the vision of nation that provides universal long-term services and supports (LTSS), childcare, and paid family and medical leave (PFML) benefits; encompasses a supported and powerful nation of caregivers; and develops a culture in which care is valued, visible and collective.

Caring Across is fiscally sponsored by National Domestic Workers Alliance (501(c)3).
