Board Assessment
Board Assessment
Project details
What we need
- 1-2 page summary of takeaways and trends from interviewing key individuals (no more than 8 interviews total)
- Identification of the board’s strengths and recommendations for areas of improvement for board members collectively and individually
Additional details
Real Food Share is a project connecting regional food pantries with fresh, locally grown food. Our board currently consists of five members. The founding four are all directly involved in the day-to-day operations.
Now in our third year, we have reached a point of growth where I would like to learn more about productive board function and establish a board that can assist in taking our project to where we want to go.
What we have in place
- We currently have anything you need, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have made this a priority, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $8,773 , allowing us to support interns, pay for insurance, pay for infrastructure, social media expenses, seeds, tools, gas and more.
We are on pace to donate over 30K pounds of fresh local produce to 10 different food pantries and foodservice organizations. We run two community gardens and network with 12 local farms to collect surplus for donation. We have 11 interns (paid through us and work-study college stipends), a full-size delivery van, and an incredible team of volunteers.
I need help organizing a board that can drive expansion, funding, support, and helps guide us out of the start-up phase.
