Team Off-Site or Retreat Planning
Project details
What we need
- A detailed agenda for the team event, including a rundown of content and activities
- A project plan that itemizes the key steps and timelines for preparation and logistical considerations, such as travel and accommodations, catering needs, guest speakers, session content development, and materials
- A communication plan to attendees including themes, goals, logistics and any preparation participants should consider before the event
- A draft budget showing any known costs associated with the team event
Additional details
We are planning a retreat for our Young Professionals Steering Committee. This is in an effort to relaunch our group and focus our efforts. We want to review our successes and reconnect to the mission of the SPCA of Texas.
What we have in place
- We have 3 staff liaisons and a dedicated chair to help with planning. Our budget is small at just $500. We plan on holding the retreat at the shelter but need to plan an engaging agenda.
How this will help
This project will save us $8,686 , allowing us to save more animals and build a group of young professionals to help raise even more support for the organization.
This group's inaugural year fell during 2020. although we were able to secure a few new members it was rough. Now we want to find a way to reengage members and also help steering committee members feel more dedicated.

A comprehensive animal welfare agency, the SPCA of Texas is not affiliated with any other entity and does not receive general operating funds from the City of Dallas, State of Texas, federal government, or any other humane organization.
