Project details

What we need
  • Training goals for a specific population (volunteers, staff, program participants, etc.)
  • Advice on what training methods the Organization should pursue to meet its goals (webinars, lectures, print materials, etc.)
  • Suggestions for curriculum design, creative messaging, call to actions, methods and timeline
  • Budget for implementation (taking the Organization’s resource constraints into consideration)
  • A written document that summarizes objectives, strategies and actions steps
Additional details

The Senior Program Director training series will provide eligible direct service staff with training in management and organizational strategy topics they might not otherwise gain access to in their role. This will help them develop in their career, both contributing more meaningfully to Harlem Lacrosse in their current role, as well as preparing them for their next role, whether with us or another organization.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a performance rubric, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have engagement and inclusion survey results from this year, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $6,000 , allowing us to invest more in making our salaries more competitive so that staying on our staff is a sustainable choice!

Providing pathways for professional growth for our direct service staff, we will increase their longevity and satisfaction, improve our organization's institutional memory and succession planning, and ultimately, provide an experience to the youth we serve that is more responsive, cohesive, and impactful.

Testimonials

Susan was a valuable addition to our team in our partnership on this project! Her expertise in leadership development helped to frame a brand new project for our organization, and she excelled as a thought partner, helping me as the executive sponsor of the program to clearly define my objectives and needs. She did a fantastic job balancing her own extensive knowledge base and our unique context to propose a great final product that we have been able to implement this fall. We are very grateful for Susan's expertise and support getting this project off the ground!

Jill, HL’s COO was fabulous to work with. I had the privilege of meeting several of the recipients of HL’s work and several of their Team Members. It’s an incredible organization that is making a huge impact. It was my pleasure to help support them
