Employee Handbook
Employee Handbook
Project details
What we need
- Audit of existing Employee Handbook, or internal communications regarding employment policies
- Edit or creation of a new Employee Handbook, which may include any of the following: Standards of Conduct, Work Schedules, Leave Policies, Termination Policies, Safety and Security, Anti-Discrimination policies, Compensation and Benefits policies, any Non-Disclosure Agreements or Conflict of Interest statements that may apply, and any other pertinent information
Additional details
We have an Employee Handbook that was updated in 2019, but we are a small nonprofit without an HR professional and I understand there are new state and federal items to add. We also need more robust information about remote work. MOST IMPORTANT is a review of the handbook with a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion lens - what changes can be made to prevent bias and support all employees?
What we have in place
- We currently have employee manual in pretty good shape, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have other nonprofits we can reach out to, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,430 , allowing us to put resources toward the DEI workplan and trainings needed
We are undertaking a significant Diversity, Equity and Inclusion workplan process, but already know that an assessment of our Employee Handbook and written materials is essential to ensure we are not inadvertently discriminating or creating an environment that alienates employees. We got a quote for doing this project of over $3,000 and just can't afford that.

Our mission
Rx Partnership increases medication access for vulnerable Virginians and strengthens the health safety net.
What we do
Rx Partnership provides free and low-cost medication to vulnerable Virginians to treat a variety of chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes, hypertension and depression. Last year we helped distribute over $24 million in medications - ensuring that patients at free clinics never have to choose between food and medicine!
