What we need
  • Ongoing web development support for 10-15 hours over the course of 4 weeks
  • Support may include: website maintenance, updates or improvements
  • Note: We devised this project to connect nonprofits and volunteers for more flexible, more immediate impact. We strongly suggest you start with 4 weeks and decide from there if you'd like to continue working.
Additional details

Our website needs to be updated for a more professional look. The content must be compliant with Section 504 and other accessibility requirements for people who use technology such as screen readers. The map of our member CILs needs to be configured so a user can click on an area of the map and be connected to the website of the CIL in that area.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a functioning website and host platform, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have photos, data and narrative information, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,757 , allowing us to enhance the quality of the services we provide to the Centers for Independent Living throughout the state.

Members of the public will be able to access information about the services centers for independent provide, where they are located and how they can be contacted. The website redesign will also provide information about FACIL's personal care assistance program and the annual Youth Leadership Forum. This will help FACIL amplify the value CILs bring to their communities and will increase public awareness of the programs FACIL operates.

Step 1: Ongoing Support
  • Volunteer delivers ongoing support according to determined outline
  • Weekly check-ins to ensure support is being offered as agreed upon by both parties

Step 2: Training & Offboarding
  • Volunteer provides any relevant training to the Volunteer Manager to help them continue work, as necessary, after 4 weeks
