Membership Strategy
Membership Strategy
Project details
What we need
- A Membership Strategy document of 2-4 pages, including analysis of the Organization’s current membership program, step-by-step guide to a new or improved program, growth goals and creative outreach strategies
Additional details
We're a 40 year old, statewide, membership based nonprofit that hasn't:
*grown our membership base in several years, or
*grown our membership base outside of the Metropolitan area. We need help building our membership/community to help support operations and our mission of advancing gender and racial equity through advocacy and collaboration. A deficiency in members means we don't have the power, or attention, we need to institutionalize equity.
What we have in place
- We currently have membership rosters and directories, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a new CRM system and nearly 40 years of historical records, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $5,848 , allowing us to create a strategy that will create general operating support funds to sustain our organization. Our memberships are down this year, and we've lost $10,000+ as a result.
Our organization was created in 1980 as a member-based organization of nonprofits and lobbyists demanding that women's voices be included in any legislation that impacts them and their families. Our strength is our membership. One single voice can get lost in a crowd, but it's less likely that people ignore the chants, or cries of a crowd. We must be the crowd to bring equitable change, and social justice to the Twin Cities and all of Minnesota.
