Facilitated Strategy Session
Facilitated Strategy Session
Project details
What we need
- Expert third party advice on process or managerial changes, geographic or programmatic expansion, potential pivots, or general strategic planning
- Facilitation of an intensive, one-day strategic planning session with staff and/or Board
- Note: If necessary, a follow-up strategic planning session may be scheduled
Additional details
This board of directors ( https://collegereadynashville.org/ ) will come together June 25 in person for four hours in Nashville to discuss the future strategy of the nonprofit. Ultimately I want us to become an advisory board and to hire college students to be our working board with strong goals for the next fiscal year. We need someone who can facilitate at least 2 hours of this meeting preferably in person.
What we have in place
- We currently have by laws, motivated board members and objectives, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have resources to pay for travel up to $400, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,465 , allowing us to use our limited resources for scholarships for students
We need a strong strategy and future direction of our nonprofit at this pivotal time when we are first launching our scholarship program in Nashville with a fairly new board of trustees.

Our mission
ABOUT US
Founded in 2009 College Ready Now(r) (CRN) provides college scholarships to high school seniors from underserved communities in Nashville to help make their first year of college affordable. We specifically target African American and Latino students who are attending either a Historically Black Colleges, a Hispanic Serving Institutions or are DACA students.
Many academically talented students who live in under resourced communities qualify for financial aid, work study, subsidized loans, and grants; however, there is most often a gap in their first-year college finances that they cannot close. CRN seeks to help close that gap.
CRN is an all-volunteer organization. 100% of the funds contributed are used to fund scholarships. Funds for operational expenses are donated and not comingled with scholarship funds. Ready Now(r) (CRN) identifies underserved high school seniors in low income communities who are in need of financial support to make their first year of college affordable. Once enrolled in college, CRN will continue to support scholarship recipients through a mentoring program until college graduation.
What we do
We award scholarships to deserving Nashville students.
