Project details

What we need
  • 3-5 one hour strategy sessions with a marketing professional covering topics like marketing channels, messaging, branding and target audiences
  • A written summary of marketing goals, target audiences and channels to prioritize
  • A starter plan of recommendations & actionable next steps to begin executing your strategy
  • Note: This project does not include the creation of content such as emails, print materials, or social media posts
Additional details

We are launching a fundraising and awareness campaign that will run from Memorial Day through July 4th or throughout the summer. We're hoping to create a marketing/communications plan to help make this campaign go viral through email, facebook, TikTok, instagram, twitter, etc. Our campaign is called Jump Rope for Hope Loves Company and our goal is to get thousands of people to record themselves jump roping for hope, post online, tag to nominate friends, and make a small donation.

What we have in place
  • We currently have an event logo and flyer, plus some ideas, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have examples of previous communications, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,998 , allowing us to send 3 children to a free weekend retreat where they'll meet other children caregivers of ALS or children who've lost someone to ALS, have fun with recreational activities, & learn new coping skills.

This project is important because we believe that with your help, we can make this campaign go viral and inspire thousands to post a quick video or make a $5 donation, which when all put together, will raise thousands of dollars and spread awareness for our free programs for children and young adults who have or had a loved one battling ALS.

Our mission

Hope Loves Company Inc. is the only nonprofit organization in the United States with the mission of providing educational and emotional support to the children and young adults who had or have a loved one battling ALS.

What we do

Founder, Jodi O'Donnell-Ames, was inspired to create Hope Loves Company when she realized the lack of resources available to her children, all of whom lost a parent to ALS. When her children reached college age, she put her dreams into action and created the first and only organization with the unique and specific mission to support children and young adults who have been affected by ALS. Hope Loves Company offers various programs and services, such as Camp HLC(r), Hugs of Hope Care Packages, Family Fun Days, and other events.

HLC has hosted over 45 successful camps across the nation, free of charge. Camp activities include hiking, water activities, zip lining, crafting, and more! There are also counselors available for campers who wish to seek support. We have Camp HLC in NJ, MA, IN, IL, GA and CA. HLC also delivers free Hug of Hope care packages, which include a children's book, stuffed animal, Camp HLC T-shirt, a note from the HLC team, and more. We have a Young Ambassador program as well the Susan B. Anderson Scholarship. We keep in contact with our HLC families year round via phone, email, and social media and we always make sure to send our campers a birthday card!
