Dominican Center, in Milwaukee WI serves the Amani Neighborhood and is experiencing two milestones. We are celebrating over 25 years of service (this is our 26th year) and our Executive Director is retiring after 10 years of leadership. Project Director Denisha Tate-McAlister has been named the Interim Executive Director effective June 1, 2021. All of this will be celebrated at THE LEGACY virtual event June 3rd. People will hear about upcoming plans and can donate in honor of ED.
What we have in place
- We currently have verbiage regarding history of ED, org, and event details,, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a communications Coordinator, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $1,222 , allowing us to invest back into the resident leadership training and supplies for upcoming community beautification events.
A professionally written press release will ensure we get the attention of a wider audience of news professionals. Sharing the story of the Amani Neighborhood, Executive Director impact over 10 years, and accomplishments of the organization will also help change the narrative of a community of residents diligently working on revitalizing their neighborhood. Publicizing the event will help to raise funds to support the resident efforts. The legacy WILL continue in Amani.
