Project details

What we need
  • A compelling narrative, or set of stories
  • Persuasive copy that can be used in appeals to donors, annual reports, grant applications, and media relations
  • Popular examples: Organization's founding story, a program achievement or milestone, a look back at the past few years, organizational backgrounder, etc.
  • Note: This project is not intended to support your general content planning or marketing but there are several projects in our Marketing & Communications category which are a good fit!
Additional details

Our organization is making a strategic and operational shift from a legislative campaign to an implementation monitoring and advocacy organization. We've just had a major multi-billion dollar education investment victory in the passage of the Blueprint for Maryland's Future, and want to tell that story well using media that can be referenced for years to come. This project's materials will be used for fundraising presentations, informational materials, and our very first annual report.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a historical overview of the organization, photos, & press, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have volunteers since inception, tons of documents, & partners, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,397 , allowing us to offer internship stipends to directly impacted stakeholders in public schools, including students and educators.

This is our first attempt to clearly wrap up our story for public consumption on our own terms. As a new executive director, I also see this project as a signal to our existing partners and allies in the education advocacy landscape that leadership is competent and the organization is sound. The materials from this project will be used on our website, in promotional and fundraising materials, and inform future efforts as we monitor implementation of the law.
