What we need
- A written document that identifies the Organization's timeline, onboarding goals, recommended responsibilities and support for new hire success:
- An onboarding checklist and timeline template that can be completed by the Organization for each new hire
- A suggested checklist and template outlining onboarding methods the Organization should pursue to meet its goals (human resources and information technology materials, department presentations, mentor assignment, skill sharing, etc.)
- Recommendations on how to delegate onboarding responsibilities within the Organization or department, if applicable
- A short plan for communicating with the new hire prior to their first day of work

We are a small nonprofit working on big community projects. our approach is community-centered where we recruit community residents to volunteer on our community action teams where community drives the collective impact agenda.
We need structure, policies and processes to recruit and retain resident volunteers.
What we have in place
- We currently have Community Action Teams, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have We have a few roles where resident volunteers are engaged, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $8,686 , allowing us to Spend more time working with the Community Action Teams to facilitate the development of key strategies and initiatives to turn the curve on big social issues facing our communities.
This will help us build our capacity to build our our resident volunteers approach to our work.

What we do
UCC seeks to introduce a people-centered community economic development initiative that provides community-based intervention strategies at the saturation point. We believe that through collective action, we can increase and more efficiently deliver services and resources. Thus, reducing the effects of poverty that has exacerbated existing stressors (such as housing and job losses, behavioral/mental health, and environmental issues) on families, individuals, and communities. We provide technical assistance, training, and capacity building for individuals, families, and key stakeholders. Additionally, promote advantages of innovative learning opportunities that create entrepreneurship options for youth and adults while greatly benefiting under-served communities in need.
