Project details

What we need
  • Recommendations on active and passive recruiting and proper channels to pursue candidates
  • Guidelines for hiring process, including order and number of interview rounds, reference checks, and general best practices for an inclusive interview
  • Effective interviewing techniques and clear, consistent standards for evaluating candidates
  • Tips for negotiating details such as compensation package and title
Additional details

The Utah Rivers Council is looking for an energetic individual with strong communication and organization skills and a solid work ethic to help lead our development and outreach work to protect some of the West's most important aquatic ecosystems. The Conservation Marketing & Development Advocate works to ensure our campaigns are successful by helping to market & raise funds for our work in concert with other staff.

We already have a job description, but need help w/ the interview process.

What we have in place
  • We currently have Job Description and Announcement, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have accounts with Glassdoor and Utah Non-profit Association, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,806 , allowing us to instead put that money towards water conservation programs like RainHarvest, which help residences both save water and increase the quality of water in our rivers and streams.

The Conservation Marketing & Development Advocate works to bring resources and individuals to our campaigns to ensure the organization is successful in protecting rivers and creating sustainable water policies. The Conservation Marketing & Development Advocate will help lead our fundraising and marketing efforts to help Utah Rivers Council increase it's bandwidth of advocates and supporters working to stop some of the largest water projects in the West.

Testimonials

Kimberly was absolutely wonderful to work with! From the very first meeting, she had already prepared so much material for our organization to really get us off the ground and running right away with our hiring process. Her wealth of experience in the HR industry really shone through as she tailored information and materials specific to our industry, needs, location, and capital, that truly helped us to hire the best candidate. Kimberly made herself readily available to meet virtually when we needed, keeping us moving forward during the process and was very easy to work with. We feel very fortunate to have connected with Kimberly and are so grateful to have had her expertise. We look forward to the next time, although she really helped us improve our process and thinking around hiring that we feel much more comfortable moving forward alone. Thank you to Kimberly!
