Copyediting
Copyediting
Project details
What we need
- Review of up to 20 pages of copy for grammar, style, tone, and consistency
- Advice on how to write effective copy going forward
Additional details
We are in need of a sharp, detail-oriented individual who could help us copy-edit a 20-page grant proposal. We prefer that our copy-editor be a woman of color.
What we have in place
- We currently have a first draft of the proposal and will soon have a second draft to share. To ensure consistency in our language and style, we can provide you with grant proposals we have submitted in the past.
How this will help
This project will save us $1,792 , allowing us to invest more time into the analytical components of the proposal, including our alignment strategy with partners.
We are one of ten finalists for Equality Can't Wait, a $10 million grant being offered by Pivotal Ventures. The grant would allow us to advance women's power and influence -- namely by transforming the way in which Americans think about care and by reimagining the equitable care infrastructure that women and families of all kinds need and deserve. The proposal is due on May 21st.
Project plan
Our mission
Caring Across Generations ("Caring Across") is a cross-sectoral campaign of family caregivers, care workers, people with disabilities and older Americans coming together to create a nation where everyone can live, work and age with dignity. We are dedicated to the vision of nation that provides universal long-term services and supports (LTSS), childcare, and paid family and medical leave (PFML) benefits; encompasses a supported and powerful nation of caregivers; and develops a culture in which care is valued, visible and collective.
Caring Across is fiscally sponsored by National Domestic Workers Alliance (501(c)3).
Testimonials
Imani was both timely and thorough in her copyediting. We were grateful for her capacity to meet our time-sensitive requests. Our final proposal was polished and read well.
The team at Caring Across Generations is doing hard and necessary work in public policy and advocacy on behalf of care givers, especially women of color. I was honored to work on this historic project. The team was very responsive and I was impressed with how well they collaborated on their grant proposal. I look forward to hearing about their continued success!
