Project details
What we need
- An easily understood visual aid that communicates complex information
- A high-resolution version of the Infographic in the Organization’s preferred format
Additional details
Project Ethiopia seeks a volunteer to create an infographic for our University Transition Awards (UTA) program. Each fall, we award a support package of items valued at $200 to 100 aspiring high school graduates who have successfully passed the national university entrance exam. At a community ceremony held each year, we distribute an award package of items that will help support cultural adjustment from rural village to large city such as bedding, book bag, suitcase, cell phone, and bus ticket.
What we have in place
- We currently have a visual brand guide, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have logo, website, photographs, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,760 , allowing us to provide University Transition Awards to 21 high school graduates in Dangla, Ethiopia this year.
Infographics provide a powerful and concise way to present the impact of our project work to our supporters. We will use an infographic describing the University Transition Awards on our website, in newsletters and social media communications, and as part of our fall fundraising campaign in October 2021.
Project plan
Our mission
The mission of Project Ethiopia is to partner with rural communities to create hope and opportunity through education, healthy homes and economic resilience.
What we do
Project Ethiopia is a volunteer organization that, with active village engagement, helps rural Ethiopian villagers access primary education, clean water, sanitation facilities, sustainable farming support and healthy housing. We work in a remote, rural area of northwest Ethiopia where other aid money often does not reach.
Project Ethiopia does not operate as a traditional non-governmental organization (NGO), but rather utilizes a model in which we work side-by-side with the community, developing camaraderie and earning the trust of our village partners. Our projects empower villagers to work cooperatively to improve the community as a whole; addressing big challenges through the energy and commitment of many hands and hearts.
Following the guidance and wisdom of our team in Ethiopia and their deep knowledge of the local community, Project Ethiopia has developed and refined a model for working at the grassroots level in small, yet powerful ways. Our projects utilize improvements that are both culturally appropriate and can be maintained by the communities with whom we partner.
