Additional details
Common Ground is looking for an Executive Director to lead us into a new, post-Covid phase that prioritizes diversity, equity, and inclusion both within the organization and in the services we provide our community. We are in the process of updating our by-laws, and also rebuilding our board after the pandemic prompted major turnover; we're looking for guidance in how to recruit and select the best possible candidate.
What we have in place
- We currently have two board members dedicated to this process, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a written job description and partial funding for salary,, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,806 , allowing us to fund operations!
Common Ground is currently being led by a small board of directors comprised of practitioners and supporters of CGHA's work, but none of us has expertise in nonprofit management. We need a leader who can manage operations, supervise the organization, and center our mission of addressing health inequity. A qualified ED will insure that Common Ground can continue, and free up board members to focus on fundraising, outreach, and other priorities.
Project plan
Our mission
To provide complementary healthcare services--yoga, acupuncture, meditation, massage--on a pay-what-you-can basis to the entire community; to promote, through outreach, access to these services for underserved populations including the Black, Latinx, and immigrant communities, LGBTQ+ people, disabled and nontraditional yoga bodies, and a diversity of backgrounds and experiences.
