Additional details

Especially seeking someone who has extensive experience with Cash Flow documents and can provide input and advice on how to maximize a Cash Flow document while using it in tandem with a Budget.

What we have in place
  • We use a fairly accurate cash flow document. We are in regular communication with our bookkeeper. We use QB.
How this will help
This project will save us $9,114 , allowing us to use more funds for programs and fundraising activities.

A strong budget will be extremely helpful for planning, charting a path for growth, applying for larger grants, and reporting on existing grants.

  • Volunteer Manager provides Professional with materials currently being used for financial planning, such as the current operating budget or chart of accounts, and current financial statements
  • Volunteer Manager also provides any additional materials that will affect budgeting, such as a fundraising plan, earned income plan, or business plan

Milestone 1: Information Gathering & Outline
  • Professional does additional due diligence to address any questions or issues
  • Professional creates a detailed outline for the budget, to be shared with Volunteer Manager for feedback

  • Professional creates budget and shares it with the Volunteer Manager for feedback
  • Professional incorporates any feedback into the model for final draft version

Milestone 3: Explanation & Training
  • Professional delivers the budget, alongside a detailed written or verbal explanation of how the budget should be utilized and modified in the future

Our mission

OPCMusic opens the world of music to all through access to affordable quality instruction in a nurturing environment. We value rigor, innovation and scholarship in our quest to preserve the musical traditions of Oakland.

What we do

The Oakland Public Conservatory of Music is a project of Music Is eXtraordinary, Inc, (MIX), a California 501c3 which provides music education for people in urban areas. Music Is eXtraordinary(MIX) was founded in 2001 by Musician/Educator, Angela M. Wellman. Ms. Wellman consulted with schools to develop music programs that reflected each school's culture. In 2004 MIX became a 501c3 non-profit and opened its first music center, the Oakland Public Conservatory of Music (OPC) in 2005. OPC is part of a broader agenda to build a national network of Public Conservatories with a unified teaching philosophy and teaching practices that engender equity, belonging, and empathy through the music.
