Project details

What we need
  • Initial assessment of areas of strength, targets for improvement and specific areas of focus desired for the coaching sessions
  • Up to 6 coaching sessions exploring areas such as motivation, empowerment, collaboration, communication, giving / receiving feedback & conflict management
  • Wrap-up session with actionable steps and advice moving forward as a manager
Additional details

I would like to improve my management skills, as well as create a support structure for new managers in the organization.

What we have in place
  • I currently have management experience, but would like to learn how to address my areas of growth. I would also like to pass that knowledge on to new managers in the organization so that they feel supported and prepared for the role.
How this will help
This project will save us $7,248 , allowing us to provide scholarships for summer camp.

It would help me to improve communication, efficiency, and leadership skills, which I can then pass on to others, especially managers in training.

What we do

Girls in the Game is a nonprofit organization that exists to empower all girls to be gamechangers. Serving girls ages 7-18, our mission is to help every girl find her voice, discover her strength, and lead with confidence through fun and active sports, health, and leadership programs. We are based in Chicago, but also host program sites in Baltimore and North Texas. Our programs span from After School for elementary and middle school girls, to Summer Camp, Teen Programs, and City Wide Initiatives that bring girls of all ages and background together for fun and active days of play. Since our inception in 1995, we have served over 50,000 girls! For more information about who we are and what we do, visit our website: www.girlsinthegame.org.

Working with Liz was an amazing experience! She went above and beyond to work with me and my coworker on developing a training for new managers. We are so grateful for all of the time and effort she put in to helping us with this project. I highly recommend working with Liz!

Management Skills Coaching Project

I started this project in August of 2021. I appreciate that Tammy understood my rationale and plan for completing her task of leadership training for all existing and new managers. What an incredible team of leaders! They all participated and provided great insight into the topics discussed during our sessions. I enjoyed all my interactions with Tammy and Alecia as they were both very focused on delivering a program that fit the needs of their organization.
