Project details
What we need
- A compilation of research on a specific topic (e.g. industry best practices, literature review, media contacts, industry trends, etc.) including a list of sources
- Recommendations on areas for further exploration/research
- Note: This project is not designed to be used for prospect or grant research
Additional details
Seeking a benchmarking analysis of the offerings/prices from other organizations (for and not-for profit) that offer donor advisory services specifically in the DEI space, or investing/funding strategies with BIPOC community(ies). Deliverables to include 1) raw data of desk research, 2) recap of offerings most similar to ours, 3) list of types of services most commonly offered with price ranges, and 4) overview of marketing approaches used to help us refine our messaging/collateral.
What we have in place
- We currently have a brief project plan with goals and expected impact, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a committed staff person to support the research, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $5,239 , allowing us to continue to invest in our long term staff capacity and to not divert any services or funding from our grantee partners and other frontline Latinx activists.
We are developing a philanthropic advisory service for funders seeking to engage more deeply with Latinx communities (in the US and across the Americas). This work will help advance our goals related to informing and accompanying donors in their philanthropic learning journeys, and also mobilize greater and more inclusive funding practices in support of impacted Latinx communities advancing equity and leadership across geographies.

Our mission
Hispanics in Philanthropy (HIP) is on a mission to strengthen Latinx leadership, influence and equity by leveraging philanthropic resources, and doing so with an unwavering focus on social justice and shared prosperity across the Americas. As the leader of a transnational network of foundations, donors, and nonprofits, we are making impactful investments in the Latinx community and developing our leaders so they can effectively address the most pressing issues impacting communities in the U.S., Latin America and the Caribbean.
What we do
HIP is a transnational network of grantmakers committed to strengthening Latino communities across the Americas. HIP connects and convenes funders, nonprofits, researchers, and other leaders to identify emerging needs among Latinos as well as best practices for responsive and effective funding of social change. HIP pioneers new philanthropic models by leading collaborative initiatives and has provided grants and training to help build the capacity of more than 600 organizations and leaders.
