What we need
  • Significant update to Organization’s existing CMS website, such as adding a new page, customizing a theme, adjusting layout, etc.
  • Smaller update to Organization's non-CMS website

Hello! We are looking for someone to give our website a major overhaul. The site is currently hosted by Dream Host. We are hoping to add more color and vibrancy to the site, as well as change some of the pages and make it easier to navigate and for the interactive aspects to work more smoothly.

What we have in place
  • Hello! Open Paths is a small nonprofit community counseling center that provides culturally affirming therapy to clients from marginalized and low-income communities. We are seeking someone who can help us update our website so that it is vibrant, color, and reflective of the communities and clients we serve. Much of our copy is ready to go, though there are still some tweaks that need to be made. We also have a small budget to work with. Thanks for considering!
How this will help
This project will save us $4,586 , allowing us to provide even more low or no fee counseling sessions to low-income clients.

An organization's website is often the first point of contact for clients, donors and supporters. It is the public face and "calling card" of the organization. By working with Open Paths to create an impressive website, which works well in both English and Spanish, you will be helping potential clients find the support they need, and donors decide to invest in our work. Access to culturally affirming psychotherapy is critical now, more than ever, which you can help us provide through this site.

  • Volunteer Manager provides list of required updates to make (including sharing content or image assets, as necessary)
  • Both parties review our pro-tips for Organizations and Volunteers to ensure the project is set up for success

Milestone 1: Kick-Off Meeting
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional connect to discuss requested updates, and agree on a project timeline
  • Volunteer Manager provides Professional with credentials to access the website admin portal

Milestone 2: Review Updates
  • Professional makes the requested updates to the website (if available, the changes should be made in a test or development environment first)
  • Volunteer Manager reviews each update, and reports any remaining issues to the Professional

Milestone 3: Implementation of Updates
  • Professional implements updates to the live website
  • Professional troubleshoots any issues that may arise immediately after implementing changes on the live site
