Workplace Culture Assessment
Workplace Culture Assessment
Project details
What we need
- A detailed, unbiased audit of the Organization's culture including current strengths and areas of improvement
- Actionable steps to promote team happiness and productivity
Additional details
Our Wellness Committee surveyed employees on preferred wellness offerings in the organization. However, we have not administered a survey to specifically assess workplace culture.
What we have in place
- We currently have a Board Strategic Plan and a Wellness Committee survey, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a staff lead, wellness committee, an engaged President, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $11,823 , allowing us to leverage and expand our current resources. It will help us develop a roadmap that will address areas needing attention, reinforce what is working and maintain a thriving workplace.
A few years ago, we had a transition in leadership and we are currently growing as an organization. The programs developed over the past 25 years are highly effective in the community and our team's dedication to serving our mission is inspiring. With growth and new transitions come the need to assess our culture to ensure continued success and innovation.

Our mission
Our mission is to create and strengthen healthy communities by providing quality, affordable housing with supportive services for low-income individuals, families and older adults.
What we do
Merced meets its mission through its programs:
Through the Multi-Family Program, 1,715 families have quality, affordable homes in multi-family communities owned or developed by Merced in San Antonio, Corpus Christi, Conroe, Somerset, Karnes City, Goliad and Fort Worth.
Through the Resident Services Program (RSP), 2,670 apartment resident families build on the foundation of affordable housing and thrive because of no-cost supportive services offered by Merced. This program focuses on six areas: Housing Stability, Financial Growth, Health & Wellness for Families, Health & Wellness for Older Adults, Out of School Enrichment, and Community Engagement. The program helps residents achieve their own outcomes of good health, education, and financial stability.
Through the Owner-Occupied Repair Program (OORP), 665 extremely low-income senior or disabled homeowners live in greater safety and comfort and stay in the homes they own and love because of health- and safety-related repairs. The program helps homeowners who can no longer afford to keep their homes safe, sanitary or structurally sound.
Through the Supportive Services Program (SSP), apartment residents in crisis and all participants in the OORP receive one-on-one wraparound support from Merced staff. SSP staff extensively interview residents and homeowners to determine what they need beside affordable homes in order to have housing stability. Staff then connect clients to needed resources in the community and follow up to make sure that needs have been met. Staff collect data before and after services are provided to improve program delivery.
