Project details

What we need
  • Review of job descriptions, pay structure, internal value, competitive market data, non-monetary rewards and benefits
  • Recommendations for updating staff compensation and incentive plans
Additional details

Regarding the competitive market data, we would like a comparable pay structure local to the Baltimore city market in the industries of youth development, out-of-school time, and libraries.
We are requesting this assistance to ensure we as a non-profit are inclusive of equity within our organizational model and will present the report to the board of directors.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a total of 12- 15 staff members, 10-20 work-study students, and summer youth workers (MOED) with job descriptions and current compensation packages available for you, which should make it easy for you to get started.

We also have an employee handbook that outlines company culture and indirect compensation benefits currently being offered and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $6,746 , allowing us to increase our programs and services available to our community, maintain our facilities, and update our technology to become current with today's need in inner-city Baltimore.

Staying competitive with industry compensation standards coupled with our company culture will reduce turnover at our organization. Meeting our community needs is a top priority at VLP, and this begins with our internal staff by ensuring we are properly taking care of them by staying competitive in our market.
